Journal Journey & History
Indonesian Nursing Journal (INJ)
Establishment & Official ISSN
The Indonesian Nursing Journal (INJ) has been published on a semi-annual basis (January and July) since its establishment in 2023. In the same year, the journal officially obtained its International Standard Serial Numbers (ISSN), with ISSN Online: 2988-7623 and ISSN Print: 2988-7577.
English Manuscript Policy
In August 2023, the journal implemented a policy to accept only manuscripts written in English. This strategic decision was made to enhance the overall quality of publications and to broaden the journal’s accessibility to an international readership.
SINTA 3 Accreditation Milestone
On April 7, 2026, INJ achieved a significant milestone by being indexed in the Science and Technology Index (SINTA) and receiving an accreditation rating of Grade 3 from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.
Cybersecurity Challenge
On April 14, 2026, the journal experienced a critical cybersecurity incident in which its server was compromised by a hacking attack. This incident resulted in server downtime and substantial data loss due to the absence of a backup system.
System Migration & Reinstallation
In response to this event, on April 24, 2026, the IT team of Politeknik Negeri Subang reinstalled the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform on an internal institutional server. It was identified that the previous hosting environment was not managed within the institution. The migration to an internal server aims to significantly enhance system security and ensure the implementation of routine data backup procedures.
New Publication Fee Policy
Furthermore, effective April 30, 2026, INJ revised its author publication fee policy. The article processing charge (APC), which was previously free of charge, was adjusted to IDR 750,000 to support the journal’s operational and management processes.
